2023 - Present
Senior Software Engineer • 1FIT
Personal-training software for coaches to help with plan building and client progress tracking for 90k+ users, processing millions of rows of data a day. Worked with asyncronous data pipeline processes to make the user experience across multiple devices flawless. Introduced CI/CD and containerisation, cutting deployment time 80%; own backend architecture and delivery.
2021 - 2023
Development Team Lead • Bluesquare
Custom-built solutions for large brands like Samsung and HP. Full stack feature work across web applications and backend services, shipping directly with client-facing teams. Agile methodologies improved productivty and ensured goals were met in a rapidly changing work environment.
2019 - 2021
Software Developer • Transalis
B2Bi automation, integration and analytics connecting 98% of the electronically-trading UK retail market. Built and maintained high-volume EDI pipelines where a dropped message meant a missed shipment. Created new data ingresses based on customer requirements and built a blockchain application designed to increase transparency and decrease fraud.
2017 - 2018
Junior Software Developer • Pear Technology
Geospatial software and mapping tools for land management. First time writing production code, with lessons learnt on why backups and good architecture matter. Working across both greenfield projects and existing web applications for our customers, as well as automations to speed up our internal teams.
